13th Annual Holocaust Remembrance: Honoring the Survivors, Remembering the Lost
April 27 @ 9:45 am - 9:45 pm
“No one among us remains untouched by the Holocaust.”
As antisemitism rises and awareness of the Holocaust fades, our commitment to remember must remain stronger than ever. Join us for Temple Beth David’s 13th Annual Yom HaShoah Vigil of Remembrance—a day of reflection, testimony, and tribute to the six million Jews and countless others who perished, as well as those who survived and lived to tell their stories.
This moving vigil will include:
- A candle-lighting ceremony in memory of the six million
- A continuous public reading of Holocaust victims’ names
- A screening of One Survivor Remembers – the Academy Award-winning short documentary sharing the personal testimony of a woman who survived the horrors of the Shoah
- Words of remembrance from our clergy
- Community participation in reading names, including the Righteous Among the Nations
You are invited to read names, add names from your own family, listen, reflect, and be present in sacred remembrance. Together, let us honor the survivors, remember the victims, and reaffirm our vow.
