Our Joint Discernment Committee is excited to share the proposed merger options with Oceanview. During this presentation, we’ll walk through the key details of each option, explain what they could mean for our community, and create space for your questions and input.

As The Gathering Place and Oceanview UMC explore joining forces, we see an opportunity to do more than preserve what we have. We see a chance to reimagine what church can be. Imagine our spaces used for the needs of our community and the greater good of our broken world.

This isn’t just about keeping the lights on—it’s about shining light into our neighborhoods in new and meaningful ways. By pooling our resources, we can step into God’s resurrection story, where letting go of the old makes room for new life and greater impact.
